Inspected, tracked, cleaned and finished by people who know what they are holding.
Conventional dry cleaning is neither dry nor clean. Garments are soaked in solvent and dried at high heat, with no one looking at the piece first. Here is what happens instead, from the moment a garment reaches us to the moment it comes back.

What most cleaning does to clothes, and why we do it differently.
Very few people know how their clothes are cleaned. These three figures are the reason Blanc exists.
of dry cleaners use PERC
Perchloroethylene is the solvent behind the chemical smell on collection. It is known to be carcinogenic, and it is already banned in France, Denmark and several US states. Blanc has never used it.
Conventional dry cleaning industryof fashion’s carbon emissions come from product use
Washing, drying and ironing, done badly and done too often. Cleaning that suits the garment is cleaning that happens less, and costs the planet less each time.
McKinsey, 2020of clothes thrown away have irreversible damage
Colour fading, shrinking and stubborn stains: most of it caused by the wrong cleaning. The most sustainable garment is the one already in your wardrobe, kept in use.
Fashion Revolution · #CareRepairRewearSix stages. Every garment, every time.
A dry cleaner batches garments through a machine. An atelier looks at each one first. The difference is in the stages below, and it is the reason a good garment comes back from Blanc the way it went in.
Book a collection →Inspection
Every item is inspected individually on arrival at the Atelier, and images are recorded on 4K high-definition CCTV. Fibre, construction, embellishment and every mark are noted before a method is chosen.
System tracking
Each garment is logged in our system and tracked through every stage by its own smart barcode. Nothing is lost, nothing is mixed, and we can tell you where a piece is at any moment.
Customer care
Our care team is available by phone, SMS and WhatsApp throughout. If a piece needs your authorisation, a longer turnaround or a decision on a stain, you hear from us before work begins, not after.
Cleaning, finishing and tailoring
The garment is cleaned by the method its fibre asks for: liquid CO₂, professional wet cleaning with biodegradable detergents, or ozone. Our pressers and tailors then finish it by hand, section by section, rather than under a flat machine press.
The three methods →Quality control
A quality controller inspects every item against its arrival record before it is released. If it does not meet the standard, it goes back.
Collection and delivery, or your studio
Standard turnaround is 48 to 72 hours. Have the order delivered to your door, or collect it from any of our four studios in Marylebone, Notting Hill, Chelsea and South Kensington.
How booking works →Non-toxic, and matched to the fibre.
Liquid CO₂ cleaning
Carbon dioxide is a naturally occurring, non-toxic gas. Under high pressure it turns liquid and becomes an efficient natural solvent, particularly good on oil-based stains and safe on the most delicate garments. No heat, no chemicals, no water, and the CO₂ is recaptured and reused.
- High-contrast colours and structured fabrics
- Very effective on greasy stains
- Completely non-toxic, minimal environmental impact
- No water waste
Advanced wet cleaning
Professional wet cleaning with biodegradable detergents, at controlled temperature and agitation. This is not home washing. It is the gentlest professional method for natural fibres, and it leaves garments softer and brighter than solvent ever could.
- Silk, cashmere and fine knitwear
- Most luxury everyday garments
- Biodegradable, eco-label compliant detergents
- Shirts, laundry and household textiles
Ozone disinfection
Ozone breaks down the biological structure of bacteria, leaving items fully sanitised without any solvent, fluid or powder. It removes odours, including sweat, mould and smoke, and it treats pieces that cannot be wet or dry cleaned at all.
- Removes all odours
- Sanitises entirely, chemical free
- Hypoallergenic
- Leather, vintage and anything that cannot be cleaned

Before you book.
You do not need to know. Every item is examined at the Atelier and cleaned according to its care label by the method best suited to the fibre. If there is any doubt, or no care label, we ask for your authorisation before proceeding.
We will do everything we can. Bring the item in as soon as possible and tell us what caused the mark. Some deep-set stains cannot be removed safely, and if we believe treatment would alter the garment we tell you first.
For most, including delicate pieces and those labelled dry clean only. If our specialists judge that a solvent-based method would give a better result for a specific item, we can send it to a trusted partner, and we always ask for your authorisation before doing so.
At our own Atelier, an airy workshop between Acton and Park Royal. Most garments never leave Blanc premises; some specialist items are sent to carefully selected partners for additional care.
Standard turnaround is 48 to 72 hours from collection to delivery. Complex alterations can take longer and we confirm the timing once the items are inspected. Shoes, leather, curtains and rugs take one to three weeks.
Not if you set a delivery preference in your account: a neighbour, housekeeper or concierge can hand over and receive on your behalf. Without a preference set, someone needs to be at the door.
There is no minimum order. Collection and delivery are free on orders over £30; a small delivery fee applies below that.
