We asked what dry cleaning would look like without the toxic part.
Blanc was founded to clean up an industry that was toxic, and rather set in its ways. It opened its doors on George Street, Marylebone, in 2013. Today it is London’s luxury garment care house: four studios, one Atelier, and a standard that has not moved.

The most quintessentially toxic industry we could think of.
Our founders wanted to build a business that mattered: one that improved people’s health and the environment by cleaning up an industry that had barely changed in decades. Conventional dry cleaning soaks clothes in perchloroethylene, a solvent known to be carcinogenic, and evaporates it at high heat. The chemical smell on collection is the residue it leaves in the cloth.
We wondered what the trade would look like without the smells and the chemicals, and found a tried and tested alternative that was slowly gaining ground abroad. What it lacked in Britain was investment and commitment. Blanc supplied both. The result was cleaner, softer, greener clothes, and a way of working that put the garment first: inspected individually, cleaned by the method its fibre asks for, and finished by hand.
Twelve years on, we have never used PERC. It is not a marketing line. It is the founding principle.
From one door on George Street to four studios and an Atelier.
The idea
A business that mattered, and a technology gaining ground abroad that nobody in London had committed to.
Marylebone
Blanc opens at 79 George Street, close to Bond Street, and never uses PERC from the first garment.
Notting Hill
Eighteen months later, a second studio at 77 Lonsdale Road, for a neighbourhood that was already asking the right questions.
Chelsea
Lower Sloane Street, steps from Sloane Square, with the Blanc bridal studio above.
South Kensington
Bute Street, in the French quarter, for the most international wardrobe in London.
Three principles, since the first day.
Never PERC.
Liquid CO₂ cleaning without heat or chemicals, professional wet cleaning with biodegradable detergents, and ozone disinfection. Nothing else, for any garment, ever.
Look at every garment first.
Each piece is inspected individually on arrival at our own Atelier, recorded, and tracked through every stage. The method is chosen for the fibre, not for the convenience of the machine.
Keep clothes in use.
The most sustainable garment is the one already in your wardrobe. Cleaning that does not shrink, stiffen or fade, and tailors who repair rather than replace. Care, repair, rewear.
Everything happens under our own roof.
All garments from all four studios and every collection are processed at the Blanc Atelier in Park Royal, by our own specialists. No outsourcing means one standard, and a team that knows every garment it handles.
Your garments have a story. We’re trained to read it.

Master tailors and seamstresses.
Structural reshaping, couture alterations and the bridal fitting that has to hold through an evening.
Pressers with twenty years at the board.
The crispness of a collar and the fall of a skirt are the first thing a client notices. That is the presser’s work.
Run with manufacturing rigour.
Spotting, cleaning, pressing, dispatch: every stage overseen by a manager who joined for the eco-first principle, not despite it.
